Signify-owned Philips Hue makes an impressively huge selection of lighting goods, but it’s only just now dipping its toes into holiday break-themed string lights.
Slated to ship subsequent 7 days, the Hue Festivia strings lights boast 250 “mini” sensible LEDs strung together a 20-meter (65.6-foot) wire.
At 1st glance, the Festivia appears to be like just like a yard-wide variety string of Christmas lights, and they are poised to contend with very similar good string lights from Twinkly.

Of study course, you could often manage your vacation tree with the Hue application by plugging your Xmas lights into the Hue Wise Plug.
But the Festivia lights provide a much deeper stage of integration, which include the potential to alter the brightness of the LEDs, change their colours, and empower gradient light-weight results.
The indoor-only lights can also sync with your tunes, both via the Spotify features in the Hue application or the new Hue tunes-syncing capacity in the SmartThings application on Samsung Galaxy telephones.
You just cannot daisy-chain a number of Festivia strings together, but you can (of course) group multiple strings in a space making use of the Hue app.
Along with the Festivia lights, Phillips Hue declared some new Hue app capabilities that dovetail with the impending string lights.
A new Sparkle outcome will make each individual LED on the Festivia string lights twinkle, while the Scattered influence makes five random shades distribute together the string.
The Festivia string lights need to also work properly with the current Candle, Fire, and Linear consequences in the Hue app.
As with most things Hue, the Festivia lights will not be low cost, with an anticipated cost tag of $159.99. The lights will be out there exclusively by way of the Philips Hue web-site, according to a press release.
